Lexile®藍思閱讀分級–英文童書選擇標準
提升閱讀能力最好的方法就是多閱讀，藉由TOEFL Primary測驗成績能找到適合學生程度、符合其興趣的英文讀物，讓學生願意持續閱讀，增進英語能力。
藍思閱讀分級（Lexile®）是由MetaMetrics®開發，以一套發展量表為基礎，可同時用於評量讀者適合閱讀之難度及文本本身之難度，協助學生、老師、家長挑選適合學生閱讀程度的書籍和文章。全世界有數百萬英文學習者和老師使用藍思閱讀分級來增進英文閱讀能力，並追蹤學習進度。
考生能藉由TOEFL Primary測驗成績單上提供的量尺分數對照藍思閱讀分級指數，在Lexile資料庫中找到適合自己程度的英文讀物，以提升閱讀能力。取得藍思閱讀分級指數後，指數往上加50L，往下減100L此區間的書籍，都是適合學生閱讀的難易程度範圍。
Guided Reading Level (GRL) 指導性閱讀分級體系
GRL 分級是由兩位教育專家於上個世紀 90 年代研發的給圖書分級的體系，其中一名專家 Gay Su Pinnell 是俄亥俄州立大學教育學院的教授，另一名專家 Irene C. Fountas 是萊斯利大學教育學院的教授。
她們設計的這套分級體系主要是針對 K-8 年級圖書的難易程度評估，所以在美國小學中應用最廣。在評估圖書時，GRL 分級考慮了文本的十大特點，包括問題、結構、題材、主題、文學性、句式、用詞、易讀性、插圖和版式等，然後按照由易到難的程度，GRL 將圖書分為由 A 到 Z 的 26 個等級，A為該分級的最基礎等級。
